PRO-WELDERS GAUGE

DPSWELDGAUGE

Description

Introducing the PRO WELDERS GAUGE!!

The Patented, Pro Welders Gauge is a precision gauge that is three gauges in one: First, it is a material thickness gauge, from 1/2” to 16 Ga(the common sizes used in a welding school). Secondly, it is an Electrode, rod, and wire gauge, from 1/16th inch through 1/2” . And thirdly, it is a fillet weld gauge, with the four most common sizes of fillet weld performed in a school setting: 3/16, ¼, 5/16, and 3/8”. It had to be convenient to have on hand, so I made it credit card size. It had to be sturdy, and it is, .035 Stainless Steel.(besides fitting in your wallet, it has a hole for a lanyard) It is laser etched with all the relevant information, and ink filled to make it easy to read.

This gauge was invented out of necessity, after a number of years of watching students fail to grasp the skill, and use, of measuring tools. Material thickness, electrode diameter, and fillet sizes always caused problems for modern students, frequently growing up in white collar households with little or no exposure to tools or construction techniques, coupled with a lack of industrial arts programs in modern High and Middle Schools.
