More Than 1054 Attend Trade Show 2011

AWISCO’s annual Trade Show May 11th and 12th drew more than 1054 visitors during the two day event.
Attendees viewed and participated in demonstrations of the latest equipment and processes from AWISCO’s vendor partners while enjoying our famous hospitality.
Highlights of the show included the two “Main Event” car cuttings by Lenox Saw’s “Team Hackman” including a cutting by Kelly Breton, daughter of the original Hackman, Lee Breton! Our visitors also enjoyed demonstrations of dry ice blast cleaning by Triventek, a process that leaves no residue or grit behind. Gas Innovations demonstrated how easy it is to convert and successfully use propylene during the current acetylene shortage. Welding clinics were held by Miller Electric, Weldcote Metal and Lincoln Electric.
One of the personal highlights of our annual event is attendance by student welders and apprentices. More than 52 future welders from the School of Cooperative Technical Education as well as apprentices from several local iron and sheet metal unions had the opportunity to “hands-on” test the latest welding and cutting technology and get advice from our vendor partners and seasoned professionals.
AWISCO’s hospitality included gourmet barbecue, fresh popped corn an ice cream cart and a continuous supply of beverages. Both customers and vendors proclaimed the show an unequivocal success!
